Oooh thanks for all the tips and games! I'm gonna search for that candy bar game right now. SKOR, that's too cute. LOL. So food, then games, and so on. One more question, do women normally open gifts at the shower or wait until they get home?
THIS IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Melt some chocolate bars, and put each one in a diaper, then you try to guess "what the baby ate" trying to figure out which choclate bar is in the diaper. Use different ones...say snicker, areo, kit kat, wonder bar....IT is too funny and makes for great pic of people smelling diapers and examinig them
I am not doing baby shower games at all, I can't stand them to be honest.
We are having a party celebrating the baby with men and women and we are going to have cocktails and heavy appetizers in the evening. And a non-alcoholic punch for me.
The only game that I've found amusing is the baby food tasting game for the men, blindfolded of course and watching the new dad to be changing a diaper on a doll.
At my friends we played pin the dummy on the baby. Hehe. We painted a baby portrait then had a dummy with a pin instead if teat, blind fold them then go. hehe it was queit fun. lol
We did that one at my shower, BradyAm! I think our word was "Baby"!!!
i LOVE the game where everyone gets a safety pin and then u picka word or 2 that people can't say. if someone hears anyone say that word then they take their pin. the person with the most at the end wins a prize
I've done a few baby showers. We always had the guests arrive and get settled (put their gifts up). Once the majority of the people were there they were free to help themselves to food and chat for a few minutes. When everyone seemed to have eaten their food and that was winding down, start the game(s).
My sister had a really fun one she did at a shower. They put candy bar wrappers on a posterboard. They passed out a sheet of paper to each guest. On the paper were fun little sayings in which they had to match the phrase to the candy bar.
For example:
The phrase- The night we conceived the baby...
The answer- SKOR
There should be a little gift/prize for each winner of each game that is played. I like going to the dollar stores and getting yummy candles and putting them in pretty gift bags.
You can find games online and can probably find "the candy bar game" with the phrases and answers!
