Unique symptoms indicative of pregnancy?

I'm a 21-year old female.  I'm on birth control pills, and my last sex partner frequently ejaculated inside of me.  I'm usually quite good with taking the pill on time everyday, but one day several weeks ago I took it probably about 8 hours late.  I am now on Day 1 of the 7-day break (as of today, April 12th), but have been experiencing some odd symptoms the past week or so.  I began spotting over a week ago, with discharge that is an odd brown colour, and sometimes laced with a little red blood.  I've spotted before on other brands of birth control, but I had never seen discharge of this nature before. The spotting hasn't really intensified very much, but has remained with me up until this point and is still continuing.  I've started cramping, which is indicative of a period, but the cramps seem to be extending up along my sides as well, which is not usual for me.

I'm also experiencing nausea consistently throughout the day (especially after eating), occasional dizziness, mood swings as well as a more attuned sense of smell, which makes me think pregnancy.  However, this bleeding is throwing me off a bit.  I still plan on taking a pregnancy test within the next few days just for peace of mind, but am interested in an expert's opinion and intuition.

No one here is an expert or doctor. I definitely recommend that you take a pregnancy test just in case. It is not a very high probability that you are pregnant because of the birth control pills but definitely take a test just to be safe. The spotting can be caused by a lot of things including stress.

I'm in somewhat the same situation!! However my spotting has stopped I'm waiting a few more days to see if my period will come and if not I will be taking a test! It's all a big waiting game right now!

i agree spotting can be caused by a lot of things including implantation. there's no way to know other than to take a test. morning sickness typically doesn't occur until around the 6th week for most women. but there's always a chance you can get pregnant on the pill!!
