Did you see a different Dr for a second opinion or was this the same Dr

My doctor told me he was going to wait till 12 weeks for the heart beat since they are still tiny to really hear anything. Good luck and hope everything goes well for you

If your levels are rising, that's a great sign.  Eight weeks is about as early as it's possible to get the heart beat- there are many possible reasons that you can't pick it up at that time.  You might not be as far along as you thought too.  Are you going in to get more blood work for follow up?  Let us know how you and baby are doing!

Was the baby measuring at 8 weeks during the ultrasound? Or were they trying to hear it on a Doppler?

Yes they measured but they were saying shape is not good..m not sure what it is.. Height was 15 cm approx
OK if baby is measuring 8 weeks at 8 weeks that's amazing. Very good sign. Rest assured many do not hear or see the beat until around 12 week's. Week 8 is still very early. If everything else is coming along OK and Dr had no other concerns give baby some time to grow they check at almost every appointment
