For me, I honestly read this app and other pregnancy/new mother blogs to get real like stories, questions and answers! I have the what to expect books that also have information but it's so much better having the real life stories!!! As far as questions to ask your doctor, you are mostly in charge of that and ask things that you are curious about whether it be what you want for labor and delivery and anything else you may think of! Usually the first appontment is from 8-13 weeks depending on your clinic and the first appointment they'll attempt to hear the heartbeat with a doppler and/or ultrasound! You'll have a pelvic exam, get checked for stds, infections etc. and then go through family medical history from both you and the father. They ask a bunch of other questions as well! Being a mom is truely a blessing and if there's any advice I have for you, it's get rest while you can... These next 9 months should be as relaxing and stress free as possible for you. I myself didn't listen when people told me that and now that I have my son, man it's a lot of hard work, but rewarding hard work! Congrats and goodluck mama (:
Thanks hun for your advice!! I'm actual going to my first doc apt this afternoon, it would be nice to be able to hear a heart beat if that's possible.
