itching unbearably!

Hello ladies! I'm 24+5 and I've been itching all over my body for the past 2 months. I kept thinking it's normal due to the hormones and skin stretching, however I advised my OB of the itching when I had an appointment earlier this month. He prescribed benadryl and a hydrocortisone cream which seemed to help for the first 2 weeks...now my itching is uncontrollable! I itch at night and when I wake up, lately I've only slept 3-4hrs a night due waking up from the itch. My arms, legs, thighs, back, wrists...ITCH like crazy :/ my next Dr app is on Wednesday but I feel I'm going crazy... has anyone else had this same problem? should I be worried?

Yes mines started at 8 weeks and still happens but mine is my feet wrist hands and sometimes my thighs I looked it up as well told doc what I found so they tested my liver and gave me the same creams as u. But my doc never called me with results which I'm pissed about. But I go back on the 7th so hopefully they have some news. Good luck to u and ill update when I get the results

But after I get out of the water it itches again! Ugh. I did look into that cholestasis or whatever, I guess I'll go in and have the doctor take a look. I honestly can't take it. Thanks for posting this. I'm sorry you're still pretty early in your pregnancy, My due date is in a couple days and this started happening about two weeks ago

thanks :) I have been looking up my symptoms and the first two things that show up are PSUPP and cholestasis. Last dr app I had labs done, and from what I understood one had to do with checking something in the liver

U definitely need to be checked out. I had this with my first pregnancy and felt like I was going insane. Go on a medical website like mayoclinic and look up cholestasis of pregnancy. Typically severe itching, especially at night, is a lot of times the only symptom. Call ur Dr back and let him know how bad it is!

I'm going through the same thing and if that's all they prescribe I'm glad I didn't go in for it. I feel like I'm going crazy! !!! I just stand in the water of the shower Not even hot water and that seems to be all that helps. Aloe vera helps me better than any lotion or oil, but it's still just a temporary fix :( I've used calimine, benadryl, vitamin e, cocoa butter, even lidocane! Nothing has taken it away
