I was 19 when I had my first child. It was scary and less than ideal circumstances, not much income, and we had a lot of growing to do. We did get engaged when our baby was 4 months old but didn't get married until he was 4. We had some really tough times that challenged us and our relationship but we've made it through and I wouldn't change a thing. We are now expecting baby number 3 and life is good :)
It'll get better :) i found out we were pregnant the night before my boyfriends birthday :) i.cried on.and off and had some what did i do??! Moments and we had planned to get pregnant :/ we are basically common law married now i wanted to get married before the baby came but job stuff and baby shower stuff got crammed together so i decided id be ok and wait til our anniversary in dec that way our baby will be old enough to stay with grandma and I'll be able to have some wine and enjoy a hot tub yada yada :p just try to take a breath and not let everything feel like its piling up that helps a lot i.hope everything goes well for you and your family :)
Well it could be worse, you can do it, everything will work out and everything happens for a reason, it might not have happened the way you want but god works in mysterious ways :)
I felt the exact same way when i had my first pregnancy. I found out on the day before my 17th birthday and the day of my birthday i told my mom and it was a horrible bday for me,and i wasnt happy at first at all. But then i got over it. I think its pretty normal and you will get over that feeling. I hope you feel better soon!
I just think so much about how I want things to go. Abortion or Adoption would never be an option for me never...We have been together for three years but we have some growing to do b4 marriage. I would be fine with a courthouse wedding. We love eachother. But I also always said I wouldn't run off and get married just because I'm pregnant. I don't think our love should be based off of that. I just a worry wart. My grandmother raised me and two siblings. I want her to be happy and she won't be. Maybe at 24-25 she would have...but it just wasn't smart for me to do this b4 I finished school.
You have options! Do what's best for you :) but its normal to be scared no one is completely prepared or ready good luck !
There is no rule that says you can't get married. My friends got married before a judge on his lunch break. It was the sweetest wedding ever. If you are thinking that only the huge thirty-thousand dollar bash will do, think again. Some of the longest-lasting marriages began on a shoestring.
It's normal to have mixed emotions like that, especially when it's a surprise. Give yourself some time to absorb it, and hopefully you'll feel better about as time goes on.
