38 weeks pregnant today! don't know If I'm close or not?

I'm so ready to have my little one here already! I need help though.Since my health department doctors here suck,they told me they don't check to see if I'm dilated or not.so I don't know if I'm close or not.I haven't had the bloody show. But discharge has increased. Baby definitely isn't near my ribs anymore. I had mild cramps really similar to period cramps start about 4 days ago. I feel pressure in my vagina and stomach. And I get this sharp pain on the bikini area. It feels like that beginning sharp pain like when you've pulled a muscle. It only happens when I'm standing or walking and I quickly have to bend down to make it stop but it comes back. Does this show I'm close? ??????

You will know when it's time.. I know how you feel at this point it feels like nothing but a waiting game.. Whenever I'm that close every single little pain or cramp I get gets timed. It gets exhausting. If you go and get checked out I hope all goes well.

Both doctors ive gone too always check you if your dialated or not..good luck you should just go get checked out at the hospital

Alright. Thank you:)I got so frustrated when my"doctor" said they don't check for dilations. Felt like I was on my own

If you can you might want to get it checked out at the hospital.. With my first 2 kids if I ever felt that something could be wrong I would always go get it checked out. It's better to be safe than sorry.. There's hotlines you can call and ask medical related questions. To see If it's anything to worry about.

I would say the ones that are like menstrual cramps stay for about 20 to 30 min. Then later they come back for about 10 and then go away. The ones on my bikini area yesterday were about 10 min apart.but they went away after an hour of having them It's not a pain on my vagina but that outer part you know where you go when u get a bikini wax

Are the pains or contractions able to be timed? Our how often do you get them? Because with both my sons I didn't lose my mucas plug until hours before I actually had them.
