Bio-Physical scans normally are not done unless there is a problem with the pregnancy. Most pregnancies only get 2 scans. One at 12 weeks and then one from 18-20 for anatomy and measurements.
Okay, well I guess he did the anatomy /measurement one at his office, but he didn't check any of the heart chambers and all that stuff. He just said everything looked normal. I don't know. I see his partner the next time, I don't think I'll be going back to him...
Yea, they should have done all of that stuff at the anatomy one. Normally done b/t week 18-20. My office does the anatomy, checks fluid levels, checks for heart chambers, heartbeat, head measurments, the whole nine yards.
WOW!!! I'd completely switch offices. You shouldn't have to deal with snarky people like that.
I think it's normal procedure to have an ultrasound done between 18 and 20 weeks. The last time I was pregnant, I had a bio-physical profile done as well, but it was because I was past the 40 week mark and they just wanted to make sure that DS was still doing ok in there. He was, but didn't want to come out on his own, so I was induced.
I would find a different doctor that sounds odd! Keep us posted on what tou find out!
