Lateish baby shower?

So I'll be having my baby shower at 37 almost 38 weeks along. Is that cutting it to close to my due date? I don't really have anything baby wise yet and I'm kind of starting to stress about it   what if she decides to come early and I have nothing? Anyone else have a later baby shower? Maybe it's just hormones but I feel so unprepared for her arrival.

I'm having mine at 35 weeks and maybe another on my mother in laws side at around 37. I only think mine is late because we live over 3 hours away from my family and in laws. I don't think I should be traveling that close to my due date especially when there is a pretty good chance I will be going to labor early

You can chance it, every baby and every pregnancy is different. I had my first baby at 38 weeks & my baby shower around 30 weeks. If baby come you may just have to have a "baby arrival shower" but then you will have many people around baby..it's really up to you.

I had mine at 37 weeks, 39+3 now and still pregnant haha
I didn't think it was too late at all :)
