Overweight before pregnancy?

Are there any of you ladies out there that were overweight before you even got pregnant? It kinda ***** because I won't have a cute baby bump like skinny girls really :/ And also I'm worried about losing the weight afterwards. I've been trying to lose weight for years and its really hard for me. I can never lose more than 30 pounds. Yes I plan on breastfeeding (or at least trying, I'm a ftm) but do you guys have any advice other than the obvious? (Eat healthy and exercise). Any input would be appreciated...thanks.

I was 284 before I got pregnant this time. 21+4 as of midnight and weight 285. Very obviously pregnant now, too. All I can say is to only eat when you're hungry, don't stress too much (baby comes first now), and choose healthier alternatives every chance you get. I lost 3lbs in a week just swithing to water. Only recently started gaining anything.

And I'll be honest, other than caring for my 10 month old and making dinner, I do absolutely nothing all day lol

Since you have stairs you can always just walk up and down them instead of going  on walks outside. They also have great workout videos for pregnate women that are fun and easy.
Good luck!!!
Oh and have a wonderful Christmas :)

I'm in Utah so I totally understand the not walking in winter Lol. Ya be careful when you get up too fast and showering. I would get pretty lightheaded when I stood too long. Take it slow when being active and don't push. Focus on the eating right instead of pushing yourself which could hurt the baby. Don't stress things will work out. :)

Yeah my doctor said if I start eating healthier and start to lose weight, that its ok as long as I'm eating enough and not losing too rapidly. But its hard, and I can't really go for walks because its winter and I live in Michigan lol.. Also my bf is barely in the picture right now so he can't walk with me, and I can't really go alone because my neighborhood is really unsafe.. :/ and I don't have friends anymore so that's out of the question lol. But everything I do takes my breath away, even taking a shower, getting dressed and walking up the stairs. It *****, and idk where to start :/

I'm overweight and I felt the same as you. I was worried about gaining too much, not being able to lose it after, and not having the bump to show I'm not just fat but pregnant. Throughout the pregnancy I ate good and went for nightly walks with my husband. I actually lost 25lbs total during the pregnancy which my obgyn didn't care about because he was still growing perfectly fine. Also around month seven you could definitely tell I was pregnant. The whole top of my stomach came out in the bump. I was so thrilled. I had expected complications because I was overweight but had none except him turning breech at 37 weeks. With Breastfeeding I suggest talking to a lactation specialist because I had trouble with my larger books and they helped me with ideas like using a towel and such. I ended up not being able to Breastfeed because I had complications after my class section so with the medications I couldn't but honestly keeping up with my now 5 month old I have still continued to lose. :)
