Could I be pregnant?

Hi my question is: could I possibly be pregnant even though I had a period?
I suffered a miscarriage in December. I didn't have to have a D&C. I had a light period around the time
I should have been due in January. It started with 2 days of brown spotting. Then I passed a clot similar to what I had passed during my MC, and 2 days of regular bleeding followed.
I haven't had any other pregnancy symptoms but my mother asked me if I was expecting again because she noticed I had a tummy bump resembling that of early pregnancy and was amazed I hadn't noticed it myself. She says she's heard of other women who've miscarried and gone on to have a baby because it was a 'twin'. I know this isn't possible because my hormone levels were monitored through blood tests and they dropped significantly. Any ideas?

Thats ok so your m/c was complete. I was just concerened cos you had passed another clot but that could be your body passing out the old blood i would just keep an eye on it though as i dont like the sound of any clots to be honest with you. Yes you are fertile after a m/c as they said to me a m/c is like a period your body ovulates again but i didnt conceive straight away as had period 25th Jan but could be pregnant now as ive had a period im just praying that i am. Yes do a test just to make sure, when do you think your period will be due i know its hard to tell after you have had a m/c. I think i was 4 weeks but to be honest with you i thought i may have been 6-7 but thats something i will never know now

Yes they said the levels were below 5 so that it was complete. They say you are very fertile after a MC so it's possible you could be if you feel you have symptoms. I'm 21 dpo so even if I'm not pregnant already I'm on TWW. I'm gonna do a test tonight to be sure. If I'm not I'm gonna have to do a couple of sit-ups!!! I know what you mean about your body changing although I was only 7 weeks. How many weeks were you when you MC?

Did they say that your levels were down enough for the M/C to have completed. I had mine 26th November and as i said took me 25th Jan to have a proper period. I tested today and yesterday and got a negative even though i feel i have pregnancy symptons i think my body has changed alot since the m/c and i will really have no clue if they are pregnancy symptons or AF symptons, im 11 dpo

No I haven't taken a test yet - I'm at work now and intend to buy one on the way home this evening! I haven't had an examination since the MC - just blood tests to see if the HCG levels dropped enough for it to be complete. I have ben monitoring myself as we are TTC and this month I've noticed no ov. cramps and not much CM either so when my mother said this to me today about my tummy my mind started working overtime!

After a m/c your body takes a while to adjust i suffered a m/c in November and didnt get a normal period until 25th Jan and my body has been doing all sorts of  weird things and i actually thought i was pregnant again early Jan as my symptons were like pregnancy symptons but it will still my body trying to adjust. Have you taken a test? Some people can still have periods while pregnant it is possible but because you have passed another clot i would say to you that you may still have some tissue left from your m/c and it may not have passed through yet. Have you been seen by your gp lately and has he/she confirmed that your m/c is complete?
