Also when I felt my babies head descend into my cervix once I was past 10 centimeters. It was the coolest thing I could ever feel. And I never experienced the "ring of fire".
Thank you for that,, sounds like you did very well and im hoping I did the same!
I didn't have anything at all with my first son, and I won't lie the contractions were definitely killer.! But honestly I loved that I knew exactly when it was time to push and once I was pushing it was like all that pain went away because I knew at any moment I would finally be seeing my baby. I know it sounds corny but it was an amazing experience and once he was out it was almost like I never felt that pain in the first place. From what other mothers have told me the epidural kind of took that away from them. Definitely gonna try natural again and I'd recommend it if you think you can handle it. Good luck. :)
Wow!,,, Thanks ladies @Tayy from my understanding now is once you have one intervention it leads to another...I think imma just take my chances doing it natural...I have a great support system and I believe its all mind over matter,, @sabby your right women were doing this long before our time,,,! Its what our bodies are made for wtbs,, imma try to stick it out at home as long as possible,,, and time the contractions I only live 10mins away so no rush for me,, I wanted a water birth but my hospital is not equipped so only time will tell 3wks away!!!!!!
I had my baby girl all natural. In a hospital. Not epidural, iv/HP lock, or any other pain meds. I was 19 when I had her. Labor contractions were painful but breathing through them and rocking my hips back and forth is what kept my pain away. Pushing her out didn't hurt at all. It felt good to push. I also had a doula which you could look into. But I just kept it in my mind that there was no suchc thing as pain meds back when my mom and my grandma had kids. Also an epidural and other pain meds could effect your baby. My experience was great. I am currently pregnant with my second. I'm 20 years old and 29 weeks pregnant and I'm going to have a natural birth again and also I will be having a homebirth.
I just had my baby on Tuesday (at 37+2) I used the iv meds (if that is what your talking about) .. the medicine really took the edge off for me .. went from feeling my contractions at a 10, not being able to breathe or talk through them, to feeling them at about a 6 and being able to function through. Thru give you up to 6 doses and you can't get it after your 8cm so it doesn't affect the baby. With my first dose of the meds I did feel a little impaired but only for a few minutes, what it does is makes you feel drowsey so that you can get some rest, which I needed! I took 4 doses in the span of 7hrs then wound up giving in to am epidural because they started me on pitocin .. good luck
I do not personally have experience but my mom hadme natural and mmy lol sis with epidermal. She said she wished she did it w me bc she couldn't enjoy ot as much bc it hurt so bad ans she was exhausted. W my sis she said she enjoyed it more and wasn't so exhausted.
I have no experiences all i can say your brave going natural because that's so painful no matter what good luck
