alot of women continue to breastfeed while thay are pregnant and have no concerns, just make sure that your diet is adequit to sustain both breastfeeding and your new bub, I personally could only manage it until I was around 12 weeks, because of the pain to my nipples, everytime my baqbys latched on I nearly hit the roof, it felt like hot needles going into them, also sometimes your milk changes taste and you may find that your elder one self weans, this said many women continue to feed and even co-feed when the new bub has arrived
When you are at risk or high risk for a miscarriage, it is best not to, because BFing does lower your progesterone levels. BUT, if not, it should be fine. However, unless you want to be BFing 2 babies at once, I would try to make sure your baby is weaned before the next one is born. Some people do tandem nursing, but not my thing. Nursing one is enough work already...especially a newborn. Good luck!!
Its absolutely safe. As long as you are having a healthy normal pregnancy you can continue to breastfeed through the whole pregnancy. Some children will wean themselves due to changes in milk though. I am 14 weeks pregnant and happily nursing my 28 month old. Good Luck.
I was ok to keep nursing but ypu ready have to eat alot and healthy to keep up. It's difficult but if you and baby are healthy there's no problem with it from what my dr says. How do you think they did it back in the day when formula didn't exist?;)
Talk to your ob, but plenty of women continue to nurse through pregnancy. Sometimes babies will wean themselves at that point due to drop in supply or taste changes from hormones. I am still nursing my 22 month old and am 5 weeks with a new pregnancy. You may want to talk it over with your LO's Dr. as well. Good luck!
Hi unless u are high risk, you can usually continue to nurse. Visit the breastfeeding board for more info. Good luck
congrats on the BFP....i would contact your ob and ask this question....i really dont have the answer but i think you would need to start weaning your baby off BM.....again, not sure
