question about induction?

My babys father ran into some trouble with the law well over a year ago, and his sentencing date is exactly a week after my due date. He could end up in jail for two years if the judge decides, and his main worry is that he wont get to meet his daughter before that day. He gets so upset over it, and i would hate to be a week overdue and travelling two hours away for his court date. Would my obgyn induce me the day of or a few days after my due date due to this? I just want him to be able to meet his little girl before he has to go through that stress :(

Lol I'm the opposite.  I'm a planner so I love the idea of knowing what day I'll have my daughter.  
Asking won't hurt :)

Thank you!! Im so scared to get induced, i like the idea of not knowing when ill have her, but he really cant wait to meet her and asking is the least i can do for him :)

I explained a situation to my doc and he's inducing me a week early. Its possible.  Just ask your dr. Some will induce,  some won't.

You can ask because of that question, they can do it.

Most obs will induce once you're to your due date, even if not medically necessary.
