Confused... Any advice?
I've been treating myself for a yeast infection the last 3-days. I'm 37 weeks, & last night I inserted the last dose of medicine went & laid down, after laying down for about 20 minutes I felt a gush....it was was clear mixed with the yeast infection medicine. It leaked for a few minutes & stopped... If my water broke it wouldn't have stopped right? Baby has been moving normal today, I feel nornal & all... I'm confused... What could it have been?
I would go to the hospital...my water broke almost 3 weeks early but i just had a leak...and i would get mini gushes. they still had to fully break my water once i went in...if you have a leak they worry about infection. i would def go!!
My hospital is close to an hour drive & I went last week bc I thought it 'broke', but nothing. I don't want make that long of a trip for discharge ya know?
Don't take chances. We have had a few people on here who had similar problems and it put both the mother and child in severe situations. If your water did break you have a limited time frame before infection sets in.
Anytime you suspect that your leaking amniotic fluid it's important that you go to the hospital. It's always best to go in and make sure that everything's okay. Clysta's right, if your water did break then you are at risk for infection.
You have a reasonable amount of time, but not forever. Unless you take a bath every day and your vagina ALWAYS fills with water, go get checked. Good luck!!!
