how long does it take for stitches to heal?

I gave birth a week ago today and I had to get stitches since I tore. Im starting to feel better but im dying for a nice hot bath but I cant stayed submerged in water. How long does it usually take to heal? Most of them are inside, i did have a few outside. As for how many stitches, i don't know.

I had my baby almost a month ago and my stitches (which I got on the inside) took two weeks to go away and feel fine. My doctor also said that's warm bath was fine but you can't add anything to the water

I had my baby a week ago today and I also had stitches. Mine killed me up until today. Don't get me wrong they are still sore though. The nurse advised me to not take a bath for 6 weeks though.

I believe taking a warm bath is perfectly fine
I know I took a bath right when I got out of the hospital to ease the pain
They advised me to do so
I think they are more worried about intercourse and the stitches tearing
Hope you heal soon! :)
