Evening primrose oil works great as well as sex and sitting on a birth ball to open your pelis gets the baby to come down but does not always cause dialation till you are in labor. But the evening primrose oil works wonderful! Also red rasberry leaf tea. There are some toher things but not knowing your medical history I don't feel safe to tell as I am not a midwife or dr. But the other things are safe 100% and do work.

LOl I had the opposite prob, from 32 weeks I was dilated 2 cm, and 80% effaced. I thought the little one was gonna drop on out of me. They checked me every 4 days until I reached 34 weeks, when I was then 90% effaced and 3 cm, they sent me for an ultrasound and I had low fluid...downstairs I went to get induced, 4 hours later Leanna Alexis was born. :D

My gyno had told me the same things, sex and walking and spicy food... although I really dont understand the spicy food thing. Just make sure you are comfortable and not causing yourself any pain. If you have swollen feet and ankles, I suggest none of the walking because they really makes them 200 times worse.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, when you go into labor you'll dilate just fine.  Some women are dilated 3cm for weeks before going into labor (I was for 6 weeks!), or they won't dilate till they go into labor.
