Why would a teenage girl refuse to take a pregnancy test while insisting she is indeed pregnant?

She's scared, unsure, lying, afraid...any number of things.  If she expects you (or whoever the father is) to help out and be a part of the pregnancy she will need to show proof.

she could be lying, scared, not wanting to see the positive. there could be a million reasons why. just tell her you need to see the proof.

i would think she is lying as well...if she wont take a test how does she even know she's preg??

sounds like an attention seeker to me....

I would think she is lying. Maybe she felt her bf was going to leave her so she felt that she needed to fake a pregnancy to keep him

I agree with mommaof4ormore. She's probably scared out of her wits, also tell her that free pregnancy clinics will not tell her parents.

Because she is either unsure of the pregnancy or she is lying to you. She could also be really scared because if she has proof then it becomes really real. She may be scared to tell her parents and figures that if she really does a test then at some point she will. Maybe try to convince her to go to a pregnancy clinic where they will do a free test.
