Puppy + swing

So, I have a black lab/pitt mix. Hes typically really good. Yesterday, i got the carseat & her was so excited & started jumpong at it. Now, im so scared to get his swing up. Im almost 36 weeks. Do u think itll be better to set up swing before he comes (so he gets used to the swing) or wait til he gets used  to the baby? I want to put swing in the living room since thats where we r the majority of the time but i can put it in his room for awhile but...ugh, im just so frustrated idk what to do right now.
And before anyone says anything about the breed of dog, know ive had him almost a yr and he is great with my 4 yr old who runs & jumps & plays with him and she even sticks her hand in his mouth all the time & has never hurt her. He has got excited & jumped and scratched me but never her.

I would work with your dog on the car seat to like walking in and out of the house with it so you can teach him not to jump around it or in you while your holding it.

Put it up now, and let it run.  If it makes noise or has a music option, turn it on at the loudest.  Put a doll in it, swaddled like you might do for your baby or in a baby pajama.  Anything you can do to make the swing "old hat" by the time the baby is here will help.  There are also little portable fences that are sold to put puppies in (check out the Drs. Foster & Smith catalogue) -- if worst comes to worst, you can fence in the swing.  But since the fence is not cheap, it would be a lot easier to get the dog adjusted to the swing now.

Yeah I would probably put it up beforehand. And all that talk about certain breeds being mean or aggressive is a bunch of crap. It's all on how you raise them to be. That's like a whole nature vs. nurture debate lol.

I think putting the swing up now is a great idea how far along are you?? I'd do it probably a month before baby is here. It helps the dog realize its here to stay and he won't be freaked when the baby is in it. Our lab took to the baby right away but the baby items took getting used too, the swing was our #1 issue it freaked our dog out. Also I am going to comment on your dogs breed but in a positive way. My parents raised pure bred pits and they are the kindest, most loving affectionate dogs aside from labs lol. My folks had5 kids and not one of us ever were bitten or attacked.  We were around them growing up constantly. Don't let anyone bash the breed of your dog any dog can be Vicious it all depends on how they are raised and treated. :)

I put my cat in our swing.. and cats are known to suffocate. Just be prepared to deal with it. Maybe put a stuffed animal in there lol. We used to have a Pitt and I would trust him more then some ppl around my children :)

I'd put it up now so he can get used to it. And turn it on a few times so he can see it move
