I agree that some hospitals won't allow baby to wear other clothes until going home but the hospital I am delivering at allows baby to wear her own clothes...all I have to do is take my baby to the nursery once in the morning and again in the evening to be checked and monitored for a few min but than as long as baby is healthy and good she will get to stay in my room. We have a ton of people planning to visit so I will be putting her in the clothes I bought. Maybe check with your hospital or ask people u know who had their babies at that hopsital.
They do not allow baby to wear their own clothing until going home simply because they monitore them so much the lil hospital gown is made for easy access. But blankys mittens and socks they will allow :) as well as your pacifiers.
Why so manybaby clothes? Are you planning for a long hospital stay?
The hospital will provide diapers and wipes for baby so all you need is going home outfit, car seat, and blanket.
For mommy the hospital provides blankets, pillows, food/drinks, pads, some soap and sometimes toothpaste and brush but better take your own to be safe (travel size will save room) don't worry about taking makeup / hair straightner etc (you won't feel like using them ;-)
Burp clothes and bottles if ur not breast.feeding
Yea that stuff shud be in ur diaper bag not hospital bag.. hospital bag is ur stuff
Did you pack stuff for yourself too ??
