I wonder why everyone had a different experience with this shot! I've heard so many different answers.. Some people say it's terribly painful and others say they barely felt a thing! Sooo weird.. Maybe it's all about what part of your body you get the shot??

No, not everyone. Only if you have a negative blood type!

Honestly i got mine today, had one with my first pregnancy, and this is the second time with this pregnancy.. i literally told the nurse today i rather get a tattoo than get this shot.. everyone is different, but i freaking hate it, it hurts so bad going into the muscle, and then when they inject it it burns.. wjere i live we dont have the option of getting it in the arm, i would prefer that.. we have to get it in side thigh... dont want to scare you, just saying i hate it.. my advice is to not look at it and have somethinv to grip onto lol

Thanks everyone! I'm honestly not even really afraid of needles or a big baby when it comes to needles, but I'm so nervous about this one for some reason! Totally am over thinking it

Good luck! I have to get it in 6 weeks as I am 22+2 now. A friend of mine had to get it and said her arm was painful for a few days after. Really not looking forward to it as I am such a baby

Mine was in the arm,  didn't feel a thing.  I did touch my arm in the area I received the shot a week later and it felt tender like a bruise, but went away a few days later.  I glanced at the needle it and looked huge,  no worries though it was perfectly fine!

I got it in the bum. It definitely didn't feel good. The syrum is really thick. That's usually what makes shots painful. That's what my doc said.
