Pregnant and Smelly odor

I am 24 weeks pregnant and I have been noticing a lot of discharge every since I was about 18 weeks, I know that this part is normal but what I want to know is the odor that comes along with it, is it normal? I talked to my Dr. and she gave me some gel to use down there for 5 days,(without checking me) that worked for as long as I was using it but soon as I was finished the odor came back. Has anyone else been through this?

I dont think it is a bacterial infection because the odor is not that strong, its just noticable. Do you think me not drinking enough water has anything to do with it?

Your smell does change during pregnancy but there should never be a foul odor... It sounds alot like Bacterial Vaginosis - If the meds that the Dr gave you didnt clear it all up you just might need to take another dose or a different kind of Antibiotic that might work a little better.... I would give the doc a call again and let her know the smell has come back

Your scent WILL change while pregnant and does not always signify an infection. And yes, you need to drink enough water, not just because of the smell but for your baby to have enough amniotic fluid.
