Thank you lady's. And I been going to the hospital two times a week to check if I'm having contractions witch I haven't yet. And I'm 1 cm dilated already.
I'm currently in the same position you are. I'm 25 weeks 6 days and was put on strict bed rest due to a short cervix. You should stay off your feet as much as possible. Because like how seaoflove3 said it puts pressure on your cervix and can cause your cervix to open and go into preterm labor. When i was in the hospital for 3 days the nurses told me they don't even want me sitting up straight cause that also put pressure on my cervix. Gravity is not our friend right now. :-(
Oh and bed rest! It helps so you don't put pressure on your cervix because that could make it worse. I had to stop going to work. :) everything will be ok if you listen to the doctors
I had a short cervix with my 2nd.
I was having discharge and then they did a vag ultrasound to check my cervix it was short I forgot my numbers. But they sent me to a specialist. I was around 20 weeks I had to start getting weekly steroid shots they helped I held my baby full term and was only 6 days early. I researched everything I could on short cervix so I could know what's going on with my body and baby. You should too.
Short cervix means that your cervix is starting to thin out. You aren't dilating yet (probably) but the thinner your cervix is the more likely you are to dilate. Good luck mama! Keep cooking that baby as long as possible!
I have that too. Did your doctor give you any prescriptions for it.? It means your cirvics are .. getting shorter, anf that can cause you to go into labor sooner.
