Short, early, weird AF???

My fiancé and I aren't necessarily TTC but still every month I feel like I might be pregnant, but like clockwork, AF shows. This month, 4 days before expected AF, I had a gush of mostly brown, little red cm type stuff. I put a tampon in assuming it early af and went home. I took out the tampon and it had just bit of brownish red on the corner, not much more than a red streak the next time either. But after BD that night, more blood for sure and upon waking up the next morning I had soaked thru another tampon fullforce. I now was certain it was AF and continued on like so. But all the ones I used the two and a half days after that were all just the same red streaking as before and then stopped the day before expected AF. It has now been exactly a week since it was supposed to start. All I can say for symptoms is daily waves of nausea, darker veins in breasts and a very high cervix. I've taken many HPT's, all neg. I've made an appointment with my Obgyn in a week but I'm so confused and don't want to wait for answers. Does anybody have any insight for me???

thank you, That puts me at a bit of ease. But I was also wondering what the causes might be and where my cervix should be if that really was AF ( today would be a week after af), it was medium highish since after the "period" and only gotten higher (today I almost couldn't reach it)

I think that it is really just a weird period. It happens from time to time for every woman and is probably nothing to be worried about but you are definitely doing the right thing by getting to your doctor and having it checked out =)
