In the first trimester (6-7 weeks) is it normal to feel as though you are going to pass out in a warm shower and have no energy afterwards?

If you're feeling light headed in the shower,  just sit down.

Cooler showers also help your skin stay hydrated. :)

My doctor said to make sure I'm getting enough fluids and its best to eat before showering and to not take a very warm or hot shower and it will help to not feel light headed or drained.

I have that now. 41+1. I don't have preclampsia, I have normal blood pressure, I think it can be caused from all of the extra blood we have in our bodies while pregnant. Just try drinking more water and keeping relaxed. You can mention it to your doctor at your next appointment.
