Laying on your.back takes oxygen away.froM baby as it.slows the.blood flow down for the placenta and you
You can lay anyway you want to. I was told that you can tell when laying down if you or baby are okay.
I tried lying on my sides through most my pregnancy. I always woke up on my back. Sometimes was abit dizzy but other than that I felt bad jst because everyone says to not do it. Im now 37 weeks and I cant bare lying on my back now. Really hurts so I believe your body tells you when you shouldn't lie on ur back.
When a doctor says to lay on the left side its because there is more support for the uterus, and its not pressing on any major nerve/vain. However its been taken to a whole other level with people thinking you can only lay on your left side and thats an exaggeration. It you feel sick, dizzy, breathless the left side does help relieve those feelings faster. In the first trimester and I think half way through the second you can lay any way you want to, I layed on my stomach until I was 17 weeks. Listen to your body it will tell you what is best. I'm 36 weeks two days from 37 and if I so much as lean on my back I get all breathless and dizzy.
When I lay on my back I put a pillow behind me so I won't lay all the way down on my back .
Either side is fine. The back is also OK if you make sure you're propped up.
No you can also sleep on your right side if ur going to lay on ur back have some pillows to be somewhat elevated not all flat down
