Dr. Harvey Karp...A True Miracle Worker For Babies and Parents

As most of you read on my other post, I was having issues with Conner being utterly fussy lol. My doctor called back with a prescription for his GERD, and told me to look into Dr. Harvey Karp and his book called "The happiest baby on the block".

So I checked him out and found some of the techniques he uses on youtube.....and ladies, it works! He isn't a fake, and he isn't the type of doctor that uses the *cry it out* method or any other harsh methods that tug at our heart strings.

I used this method today literally 15 min after watching these videos Conner woke up. And after using Dr. Karps methods I had Conner soothed in less than 15 seconds and asleep soundly in less than 30 min, and the best part of it all.....he is still soundly asleep!.

I use a swaddle me blanket that can be found in walmart instead of a blanket, it is much easier to use for those who can never sem to get the baby swaddled right or those with babies who break free from the swaddle easily.

Thanks.... Personally I've learned that the CIO method works for me. I know it's a hard one to use, and yes, it does tug at the heart strings, but I modified it to work for us. it has turned out great and TJ manages to soothe himself usually, unless he TRULY has a reason to be crying, like wet diaper or hungry.

Oh that's wonderful!  I have his book and think a lot of him as well!  Unfortunately we did fall into his "5%" (or something like that) of babies who have medical issues causing the colic symptoms (GERD).  Even though we couldn't use his methods successfully (until she was treated with medicine) I do still highly value his methods and opinions!  I'm so glad it's working for you!  :)  We had MANY swaddle blankets...we got ours at Toys R Us.
