Staying over night in the hospital

So I'm not with the father and haven't been for a while, he doesn't want to be involved. So I'm sure it varies from hospital to hospital, but I started dating this girl I've known all throughout high school (I'm now 20, she just turned 21). Things have been going great between us. She offered to stay with me in the hospital when I have my son, but is that something the hospital would allow? I know they let the fathers stay, but would they allow my girlfriend to stay? I don't see why they wouldn't (especially since Iowa is pretty LGBTQ friendly).

Say she is the father of your child. And she will get a wrist band. They did that for my sister!

They only let one person stay per night at my hospital. They don't care who it is though so you're okay to have her there.

If they say something id look right at them and say this is my child's "father" :) that's the role she's playing pretty much by being there. Good luck girl

Of course they will allow her to stay hun , normally they just don't like more than probably 2 people staying . But, i'm sure it doesn't matter rather it's your childs father , or her staying .
