I bought bottles but im not gonna give him a bottle or pacifier for as long as i can help it, i dont wanna confuse him. But thats easier for me cuz i dont work.
I'm definitely looking into those bottles
When ibreayfeed my son his doctor and the Wic told me it would be best to only breastfeed him for the first 6 weeks not to give him a bottle or a pacifier. But I never gave him a bottle until I started giving him the cereal and he got constipated(3 1/2 months old). I had a hard time getting him to take any kind of bottle but I found one that worked really well and didn't have a problem with him latching back on the breast,it was the lanolin momma bottles(I think that's how it's spelled). You can get them at Babies-R-Us.
my daughter is a week old today and i breast feed i give her a bottle atlease once a day so when i go back to work her daddy wont have a hard time gettin her to take the bottle. hope this helps!
I'm planning on doing the same but my midwife and WIC consultant both said I should breast feed for the first 2wks so my body can keep producing milk because they said it's different when u breast feed from when u pump but the best time to introduce the little to a bottle is 2wks after he/she is born. You should ask ur WIC consultant and see what they tell u :-)
