THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!

WARNING/MOMS PLEASE STOP DRINKING CASTOR OIL.

It is extremely unsafe yes I know it was have worked for some people my friend had a beautiful healthy baby it worked for her I desided after hearing her story I was going to try it but my mom told me (you better NOT) and moms knows best so I researched it and now I know why because it can put your child at serious danger if he poops inside of u and inhells it he/she can get really sick I just read a girl on here say her child was in the NICU for 30 days over it and some babies die few days after birth  I know pregnancy can be really hard I'm 37 weeks and will try everything but castor oil all I'm saying is please be smart before you do that and remember just because it works for one person DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL WORK FOR YOU hope some one listens have a safe and healthy delivery everyone

It might not work for some people and it might work for others. However castor oil has been used for many years. I took it with my daughter and I told my doctor. She even said there is no guarantee however its not bad to do. Just because it 'might' have caused problems for other woman doesn't mean it will to everybody. I took it at 39 weeks and had a healthy baby.

its sad that some women know that it can cause complications and still do it. if I could post a picture after my baby was born BC I was greedy and decided I would take it I would post one. its heart breaking when women hear stories about it working for some women they try it.

Ive seen many posts about it and even thought about taking it at the end if my son doesn't wanna come. But my mother in law had the plant and over the summer I saw soooo many dead bugs under her plant (cause its poison) I decided it was better for my son and I too not take it

I took Castor oil and my baby pooped in me and she actually did get an infection because of it. She was supposed to be in the hospital for 7 days. But my breast milk helped fight the infection.

Only thing I have heard is my coworker saying that she took it after she had her baby to clean her self out other than that being on here is the first I've heard of it.

Bump is just something we say to keep the post at the top of the list. I'm 21 weeks and had no idea castor oil could be harmful. Thanks for the warning!

I've spoken to enough doctors to know it doesn't cause the baby to poop. So don't scare women.

Well my doctor thinks it's okay for me to be extremely dehydrated, doesn't mean he's right though does it? Not all doctors are geniuses

I have to ask, these women who are against taking castor oil, are you also against other means of self induction?... The reason castor oil can be thought of as "dangerous" is because it's a laxitive and it's purpose is to irritate your insides which stresses your body to cause contractions. Any time your body is under stress, if its significant enough it can put stress on the baby too causing baby to pass meconium into the amniotic sac... This is the same way almost all methods of self induction work though. Eating pineapple after pineapple is just as stressful to your body, as is walking, nipple stimulation, and sex. Stress on the body (and stress isn't always bad in this case) is what causes contractions. It doesn't make any one method of self induction more/less dangerous than another. The issue is different women react differently to stimuli, some women have no problem and some do, so do what you feel is right for your body.

Umm im npt trying to be rude but eating pineapple and having sex is way diffrent then putting something people dont normally injest in their body like castor oil
