So I'm 13 weeks so I don't kno the ex of baby yet. If its a girl we are gonna call her jasmine amaya and a boy malakih ray but none of my family likes the boy name... I kno its my baby but should I keep this nameor think of another??

That is why we have told no one our names either.  His family is very traditional and they all have such boring and common names, and I have been "warned" about naming my daughter something "difficult".  My child's name will be what I want, and I'm not letting anyone sway that choice it will be in ink before they even know what it is.  So if YOU like it then no one else matters!

We have only told select people our names... The opinionated and the general public will not no until the baby's born... By then, it's too late and they'll just have to shut up and get over it if they don't like it! Haha... ;)

That would have been my boy name too!!! Except his middle name would have been Adam. I'm having a girl though. I love the name.

My family didn't like my daughters name but my husband and his family did and I love her name and was gonna name her what I wanted no matter what anyone thought

I agree, my family wasn't very supportive when I named my daughter Decorah, but I was so in love with the name that nothing was going to change my mind and now every one loves it and my daughter definitely wont have to worry about having multiple people in her grade with the same name when she was in school.

My kids all have unique names. Malachai, Jaman, Urijah. None of the family ever liked any of em. So just name your baby that YOU & HUBBY want. Cuz that's what matters.

Its your child not there's. I also picked names before knowing the sex and made it clear peoples opinions wouldn't be changing the name selection.

keep what you like. some of my family was the aame about my sons name, but now you can't see him with any other name :-)
