Try to explain this?

HI ladies,
Ok I have had a chance to cool down and realize that no one was trying to be offensive. I did feel Iike I was being occused of be a hypercondriac. I react very badly to this because my mother did it all my childhood. That said I except all apologize and would like to move on. I know having symptoms and all can be all in the head or the real thing. My question is explain why I look pregnant. I haven't gain any weight in fact I have lost 4 lbs. If you look on my profile of when I was 14 wks with my last baby, I don't see much of a difference. It is also firm in my lower abdomen. So what are your thoughts, I promise no bad reactions.

I am sorry that you feel that you are being judged.. I do not think that is anyone intentions... regarding the belly - pre-pregnancy I wore a size 0 or 2 - but I could easily push my belly out and look 4 months pregnant because I have 2 children previously and your tummy muscles become lax and makes it easier to appear pregnant.  If your levels are decreasing to the point of 2 - chances are you are not pregnant but could be retaining water - previous pregnancy could add to the belly as well.  Good Luck

You could also have a Cyst which can also explain your Pain. Most doctors are saying IBS when this pain is explained and its actaully a Cyst and causes your Stomach to bloat and look pregnant...... Which does upset people when they ask when their baby is due but they actually  a Cyst and sometimes is Cancerous! So ask for a scan, because in the nicest way I really dont think you're pregnant, But ask for an Ultrasound for a Cyst because that MIGHT be the cause of your pain and DO NOT let them say its just IBS!!

here is what I would do. Call your Doctor and ask him to send you for an ultra sound. Tell him you think something may be wrong. Just so you can get peice of mind. and if you are with child, you will see it in an ultra sound.

A normal non-pregnant hCG level is anything less than 5; however, labs have different standards as to what they consider positive. Some lab norms say a level is negative under 5, under 10, or under 25.

I think you should definitely go to your general practitioner and demand more tests done. I think that all the results point to you not being pregnant, at least anymore, (since over the past few weeks your HGC went from...what...57? to 2?) but there is definitely something going on with you, no one can dispute that something's affecting you. please please please stand up for yourself with your doctor until you get some answers, but I would guess it's not going to be pregnancy...good luck.

You said you have been very nauseous it may be that you have some gastrointestinal problems, which could also explain the bloating.

After I had my first child I could look 6 months pregnant without being pregnant. I seriously doubt anything is wrong with you. We are not doctors here, we cant tell you what is wrong.

To be honest, after my last couple of kids were born, my stomach looked pretty much the same as yours if I were to push it out.

As k10 said, it could be distention due to an intestinal issue, bloating or any number of things.   I agree that you should go see your doc, or a different one.  If you have only been seeing your OBGYN, I would suggest seeing a general practioner to start with.  Explain all of the symptoms you have and tell them you just feel that something is not right.  All of our guesswork isn't going to get you a diagnosis.

I also posted this on your photo on your profile, but I will post it here too.

I would personally go to the dr. and demand a more thorough examination for some other issues.  It is pretty clear that you are not pregnant.  At least not pregnant enough that you would have a stomach that large that was related to pregnancy.  I would have them check for other things like fibroids.  It can also be distention related to an intestinal issue.  With an hcg level of 2, you are not pregnant.  Maybe today you are since that was like a week ago, but again, not far enough to explain "this."

Also, I read the post that you are referring to.  I don't think that anyone was calling you a hypochondriac.  A phantom pregnancy is not at all a hypochondriac.  In addition to your mind thinking you are pregnant, your body is also convinced.  This is not something you intend on - as opposed to a feigned pregnancy.

I think that you need to accept the fact that you are not pregnant, or if you are, it's only a few days.  I just don't think that you have fully accepted it because you are continuously testing (which is not at all cheap), and you are posting pics of a belly comparing it to pregnancy.  I am sorry if this offends you as I am not at all trying to.

I really would demand to have more things checked.  Maybe you can even get them to do an abdominal ultrasound to see if there is anything else going on in there.

I truly hope that you feel better soon and that you get some answers to what is going on with your body.  I'm sure it is frustrating.  I hate it when I don't know what is going on with my body as I am usually very in-tune with my body.

Good luck.
