Ultra Sound !

Well , I'm 37 weeks and I see people saying their doctors have gave them an ultrasound this late in their pregnancy. Have any one else had one this late too ? Because I want one . I haven't had one since 20 weeks when I found out the sex of my baby . but 2 all together . I want another one :/ . because I didn't get the one when they check for down syndrome and stuff .

It all depends. With my first 2 I only got 2. With this one I am getting another one done Wednesday to check fluids. I will be 35 weeks only because I had no fluid with my second and needed an emergency induction

It all depeneds on ur health insurance. I only had 2 ultrasounds, i asked my doc and she said thats what the health insurance coverd for and if i wanted another one i would have to pay for it.

Down syndrome is your first scan, and blood tests, you should have had your results for that, I was given extra scans with my first because they where worried about me being underweight and undersize for 34 weeks. It was worrying having extra scans, only having the two tends to mean you have nothing to worry about, besides you can book them these days now! Book a reassurance scan at a private clinic if you're worried :)

I asked my doctor I was going to be able to get another because at my 20 week one baby was breeched but sadly she said no because she can tell is baby has turned or not. :/ makes me sad. I wanted to see how big she would be before hand lol maybe ask your doctor and see....I know some places are different from others.

I had one at 35wks. They checked to make sure baby had enough amniotic fluid.  Also to see how big she was.. she was 7 pounds .. that's big. Lol
