first time pregnant

So im 5 weeks in and im still having slight cramping/stretching feelings. Also I will get a sharp pain every now and then after sitting or lying down for a bit. How long will this go on? It makes me antsy and nervous because I do worry about miscarrying. But all in all everything is well.

I would wait! Plus it's fun have ur own little secret sometimes! I waited until I was 3 months. That's usually when the all crazy scares are over & everything is going fine. Lol good luck babe!

Thanks girl! Congrats to you too. Its so funny. My mom is getting all her 1st grandchildren in one year! I am the surprise in the family. No one is expecting me to say im pregnant. We obviously haven't told anyone yet. Im unsure if I should wait for my 7 1/2 week appt  where they just check to make sure everything is where it should be and its a healthy pregnancy or if we should go ahead and tell them. What do you girls think?

This is also my first pregnancy and was a bit nervouse in the beginning about the period like cramps I was feeling. But my doctor said it's totally normal. Like @chloglow said is just your body stretching and preparing for baby. I'm now 13 weeks and the cramping slowed down at around 9 weeks but still would happen every now and then till the middle of last week. I was also feeling the sharp pain early in the pregnancy,  so I would say it's normal.  Try not to stress about it, as long as there's no bleeding just think that those cramps are just making room for that baby bump :)! Congratulations btw!

That's going to happen maybe a lot during the first trimester & ur super early so I wouldn't worry too much unless u see any blood or bad cramping! & those pains u feel are just ligament pains which means your body is prepping for the baby! Congrats!
