Depends on what country you live in. Unfortunately america has the worst maternity leave. 6-8 weeks depending on where you live and where you work. And its your choice when to leave. My friend in Canada gets a whole year off. She gets 6 months maternity and 6 months parental leave. The cool thing is if she only wanted to do the maternity leave then her husband could take the parental leave but he makes more than her so that wouldn't make sense.
