Thank you all I just called set up an appointment
I'm on WIC in Illinois and I have been on it in Florida as well...for the most part it is the same...it serves the same purpose in each state...as far as documentation goes I know yu need proof of pregnancy and proof of income whether it be government assisted income like stamps or regular waged income...the tax information is different for me but I guess its another way to find out annual income so its definitely possible. But the purpose it serves is to help ensure yu are eating healthy during your pregnancy and that your child is going in the right percentile for the first 5 years of life.
It is slighlty different in each state. In Texas all I had to do was bring my medicaid card/ proof of income to qualify, along with proof of address and any kids under 5. My WIC is on a card so I can get my items whenever I want through out the month. With the voucher you have to get everything on it or you lose it. Pregnant I get credit for fresh fruits and veggies, cereal, milk, peanut butter/beans, wheat bread, juice, cheese and eggs.
Oh and in florida, you just have to bring in a letter from your Dr stating when you're due and if you receive food assistance, bring in your food stamp card.
I get wic and I live in Florida, I'm not sure if it is the same in all states though...
I live in Colorado and just need to show proof of income. Then they give you milk, bread, cheese, eggs beans, peanut butter, and if you have an infant formula
I am in the WIC program and live in arizona. I had to bring tax papers and proof of address
