What goes in the hospital bags???????

So I'm 33+2 and my baby shower is more than likely going to be the first weekend of May. I haven't packed anything yet for my daughter or me for the hospital bag. I don't even have any of her stuff washed yet or any of her stuff set up like her crib because I'm getting ready to move into my own place just waiting on the landlord to call and tell me it's finished. Her carseat and stoller didn't even get ordered till the beginning of this week and it's suppose to be here on day thank goodness. I'm a ftm and I have no idea what to pack for the hospital bags. I know for my baby I should bring a blanket, mittens so she doesn't scratch her face, a little hat, a couple different onesies incase I'm there a couple days and I have no idea what to pack for myself and the lists I find on the Internet don't really help me. Can any of you ladies please help me?

You really don't need anything for baby except a going home outfit. The hospital should have wipes and diapers and everything you'll need for him/her while you are there. Just worry about yourself. Oh, and you need the carseat haha

Whatever you do, do not use the hospitals chapstick.

The book I got from my OB and my what to expect the first year doesn't really say much for the baby besides: onesies, socks, mittens, hats, recieving blanket, going home outfit, diapers, blanket (if its cold outside)

I'm 37+3 and I just packed all my stuff and baby's stuff for the hospital tonight....now daddy just has to add a few things to the bag and we will be set. I didn't have my baby shower til I was 35 weeks so don't freak abiut not havung everything just yet. I just pit together baby's room last week as well at 36 weeks. I felt like I was stressing to get it all done, but I realized it's not something to stress over, because whether the baby comes niw or later, it will all work its self out. Btw, check with the Hospital you plan to deliver about and see what all they cover for you. Like my hospital basically gave me a list and said if it wasn't on there, don't bring it cause they would provide it for me. Like I won't need pads or anything for myself except clothes and some things for after birth and my baby won't need diapers or wipes or anythung until it's time to go home. They will clothe and feed him even if I decided not to breast feed,  even tho I am. Just check with them, I'm sure they have a list.

Thanks ladies. What about what else I'll need for the baby. I feel so inadequate, I was so excited that I'm finally almost done and will get to meet my little girl now I just feel like I'm not ready at all.
