Why are people so mean?

Every time I've started talking to someone and I end up telling them I'm pregnant they stop talking to me...friends, strangers etc! What the hell? Has pregnancy turned into a contagious disease or something? Why are people acting like this? It's not like I'm 12 and pregnant. I am unwed and going to be a single mom, but really? This really makes me feel fantastic about my pregnancy. Even my stepmom was talking down on me and being pregnant until I snapped on her about it. Im so sick of it!! Sorry, more of a rant than anything...

I understand I am married but some people r just unhappy and have to make u unhappy or try to do don't let it get to u!! This is my 2 pregnancy I lost my last baby and when I told my boss at work I was pregnant she smarted off about it!!! I'm was so upset but then I was like whatever!!!

Honestly it doesn't matter what people try to say, if you're happy that's all that matters. They have no reason to try to ruin your good feelings about being pregnant, let em talk because obviously they're not very happy people to have to bring you down. I hope you feel better :-)

I'm engaged and people still tell me it's wrong for me to be unwed and pregnant. I tell them it doesn't matter because not having a piece of paper tying me to someone else isn't going to stop this baby from coming, so they can either be happy or shut up.

I get the same thing from ppl like I'm a child...I'll be 24 in 3 Weeks... Its like cause ur a single mother they expect u to fail or struggle...but I just laugh at ppl like that cause I know I'm going to prove all of them wrong because I know I am going to be a great mom and I'm sure u will be too

I understand I heard from a lot of ppl including my own father I'm a unwed 19 yr. old and ppl who know or who find out look at u like u have a 3 ton teal monkey on ur shoulder witch really makes it hard to be excited at all
