I'm on the wic program. It's really helpful. They give you food checks for you to use and eat the food so you and your baby can be healthy. It's good to start right away because wic is applicable to you and your baby by the time their 5
I'm on it just for the fruit and milk!! Plus we get eggs and other stuff but the main thing we need it for is the milk!!
No its better to go ahead while your pregnant it is very helpful they have classes and they give you books and advice it helps alot in my opinion
I got checks with $10 for fruits/veggies, milk, eggs, bread, cheese, juice , cereal and peanut butter while I was pregnant and up until my daughter was one because I was breast feeding. if youre not breast feeding i think those checks stop and you get formula checks instead. At 6 months they give you checks for baby food and once your baby turns one they get their own checks with basically everything I already listed. Now I'm pregnant again so I get checks and my daughter gets checks.
I'm 13 weeks and I've been on wic since about 8 weeks they will provide you with wic services through your whole pregnancy then after you have the baby till the baby is 5 years old I think it helps a lot you get fruit veggies peanut butter milk eggs cheese juice breakfast cereal whole grains I love it
Its a life saver for formula and they provide baby food as well. They give you checks for groceries now. I am on it and it helps supplement groceries. They also offer support groups for breastfeeding and pregnancy.
I chose to wait to apply until after i gave birth.
They provide her with some formula and for the first 6 months, they give me vouchers for milk, eggs, cheese, juice... fruits and veggies.
I got the proof from my dr last week I just wanted to know on how it's helpful. I've never looked into it
Idk what state you are in but you can Google Wic approved foods and get the whole list. It's very helpful I was on it with my oldest and now I'm getting back on it since I found out I was pregnant with #3
You can apply while you are pregnant. You just need proof of pregnancy from a doctor.
