@kacey76, how did the ultrasound go? My Dr said my baby had esophageal atresia due to my high levels of amniotic fluid. His kidneys and bladder looked good but his stomach was small. Now I have to go to children's hospital to get an MRI and meet with a genetics counselor and pediatric surgeon. This is very devastating and I don't know if I should get a second opinion. My levels went from 32 to 30 to lately 27. Im stressing out and about to make myself sick from worrying. Just wondering if anyone else like this had a good outcome.
At week 20 our little girl was diagnosed with SUA and one kidney. With DNA blood tests, we have ruled out Trisomy 3, 18, 21 and thought we were in the clear. At week 29 we were told that the stomach is not visible and that my amniotic fluid was high. We go back in a week for another ultrasound to confirm and if the results are the same, our doctor said he would put us in touch with a pediatric surgeon. That's when my panic set in. He said it could likely be some sort of blockage that could be fixed once the baby is born, but wouldn't elaborate much more than that. I guess we'll learn more after our ultrasound this week.
