membrane sweep

Hi girlies, just looking for a bit if advice. I'm 40 +2 and just had my first membrane sweep. Anybody else had one if these and did it help bring on labour? If so how quick did it work?

My mom had hers swept at 39 weeks nd lost her plug nd her water even broke the same day. It was the funniest thing when her water broke..just like in the movies lol

I had mine at 39+2 went on a mile walk the next day that night went into labor had him at 39+4. It works for some not all usually within 24-48 hrs. to help walk walk walk have sex if not to painful do laundry sweep the floors scrub the floors walk up n dwn steps to help move baby dwn goodluck hope u meet ur bundle of joy soon ( :

It's different with everyone. My last pregnancy I had seven and none worked. Had one this pregnancy that didn't work either. Some women have one and go.into labor shortly after. It's impossible to tell

I had it with my first lost plug next day had her 2 days later. So 3 days for me. My doc said she usually only sees it work within 24 hours. I did also walk and have sex after it was done (after 2 days) so dunno which of them or if all of them actually helped!
