avoid excessive amounts of tuna, any uncooked meats like sushi, etc.
Avoid green papya. Contains a chemical that can cause the uterus to contract.
Unpasteurized anything, such as honey, milk, cheese. Avoid those....umm......make sure you cook ur eggs well. I love sunny side ups but its a nono during pregnancy. Lots of water is really good! May also help with stretch marks.
Obviously avoid alcohol, tobacco, drugs, etc. As far as food, if you eat lunch meat make sure you heat it up for a min or 2 in the microwave first as it can contain bacteria, make sure to wash all your fruits and veggies. Make sure everything like your cheeses and milk and juices are pasturized. No soft cheeses like feta. Caffeine is ok but limit it to no more than 200mg/day (double check that with your doc since everyone is different and some docs have different recommendations). Also make sure your taking your prenatal vitamins and drink lots and lots of water! Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!
