about baby navel cord!

Has any of u mom's baby navel cord took longer than 2 weeks to come off? Did it have an oder? My baby is 3 weeks and her cord hasn't fallen off yet and it's starting to have an oder

My baby was 15 days I believe or about 18 when it came out and it too about a month to dry out...

Yeah I would continue to use them but just my opinion from my experience with my children. The alchohol seemed to aid in a quicker healing because it helps dry out the cord faster and keep the odor down. Id give it 1 more week. Im sure it will come off very soon. Take care

I just started using the alcohol pads. My dr told me tht I ddnt need to use it but since it hasn't fallen off yet I started to use it.

As long as it isnt bleeding, swollen, red, or oozing, it should be fine. Some babies take a tad bit longer. What really helps is wiping it with an alchohol swab twice a day if youre not already doin that.
