I absolutely loved my repeat c-section experience. It was much easier, much more relaxed since I wasn't in labor for 12+ hours before, and tired out and in a ton of pain, I healed way better, and it was just an all around better experience for me. I had the option of a VBAC and opted out because I have pretty big babies, almost 9lbs and I'm only 4'11, so I didn't want to go through hours of labor for nothing. Also, when recovering from a c-section it hurts TERRIBLY to walk around and even want to move the first days, but it's important you do, because the longer you sit after, the harder it is and the worse healing is. I had my daughter and less than 10hrs later I got up and walked around, it hurt of course, but I was healed from both my c-sections within 2 weeks (this time was off from pain medicine within 4 days and felt fine to do everything but lift within a week). My sister had a c-section previously and gave me that advice and definitely it makes a difference. When it comes down to it, a vaginal is probably much less painful, a LOT safer, and has a lot more benefits than a c-section, especially if you want more than 4 kids, because each c-section gets more risky, and after your 2nd, you're likely getting c-sections for every pregnancy. You may also go into labor on your own this time, I'm sure that will make a big difference in your delivery experience. Either way do your research on the risks of VBAC, the risk of your uterus rupturing is very low if it's been over a year or two, the longer the better. But if you do end up with a c-section, just keep in mind your 2nd c-section is a whole different experience than the first, being in labor previously.. I'll post you the link to my repeat c-section experience in case you're interested! Good luck either way hun!!
