Hi me and my husband was only roughly 8 months old when we had cows milk which is 26-29 years ago because couldn't tollerate formula but had vitamin drops I'm on UK so if you outside of UK not sure if you can get them, my daughter was 11 months but mixed with formula for 2 weeks and giving her vitamin syrup as well to balance out nourishment, but still speak to your doctor first
Yeah your recommended to wait till they are about 12 months because their tummy doesnt digest it properly until then, also cows milk stops them absorbing vitamin d, which is a really important for them to have.
If hes rejecting formula even if youve tried switching, its time to see a pediatrician asap.
6 months is way too soon. Talk to the baby's pediatrician. It is not nutritious enough to replace breast milk or formula. Baby can get malnourished if you try to substitute it.
You shouldnt give a baby cows milk until around 11-12 months otherwise it could cause intolerences and give them a really bad stomach ache
How old is your baby and is he on formula?
Yes 6 months is too soon in my opinion because at this point baby should be just getting comfortable with solid foods. Are u concerned about how your baby is feeding?
Its not at all. But do you think 6 months is to soon?
My kids were both 10-11 months. My daughter would not tolerate the cows milk so she drinks Lactaid. My son will only drink it from a bottle and not a cup lol. It may take some time to get your baby use to the different taste. Idk if you were breast or formula feeding. Either way start out mixing the two and introducing that way. With my son, I gave him his regular formula bottle but instead of his normal 7 oz formula, I put 6 ounces of formula and 1 ounce of cows milk mixed. Every 2 days, I added another oz of cows milk and took away an iz of formula until his whole 7 ounces was cows milk. He did good over the 2 week transition. Hope that wasnt too confusing.
