39 weeks and I've been getting a lot of pains in different places don't know exactly what they are but starting tomorrow I'm gonna start walking maybe that will help me also to start dialating. Last Thursday doctor said I wasn't dilated at all. :(

I had my first when I was 36 weeks, when i got to the hospital I was only 1-2 dilated, and the doc wanted me to walk around for a hour, then I was about a 4.

We share a due date and I am the same 1cm and 50% effaced. I feel like I have done it all but nothing is working. I've just decided to wait it out BC I'm exhausted.

My doctor told me that walking really does nothing but strengthen your legs for delivery....but I've heard that works for many women :).....my doctor sounds wrong to me lol

Walking sure will help you. Go for a really long walk and then come home and do a bunch of squats. I done this with my first child and went into labor the nexy day. Also walking up and down steps will help. Hopefully this will work for you. Keep me posted

Walking is suppose to help with dilating and help with breaking your water if I remember correctly. I'm 36 weeks today and I have an appointment tomorrow and they will start checking me for dilation and effacement.
