I just read the ingredients on my "light" preserves, and they contain aspartame. Is it unSafe to consume while pregnant? I am still in my first tri mester.

You can research the effects of aspartame on the unborn baby. It can tell you the risks.

I've drank diet soda nearly my entire pregnancy..do you think I've harmed my baby? I oked it with my doc first but now I'm super paranoid.

The FDA actually allows a ton of things that are questionable in our food.. As the lady above said aspartame is no good.. If it will give lab rats cancer sure as heck I don't want it.. And that pretty much goes for all the artificial ingredients. If you do any kind of looking into them, you really don't have to look long before you find scary findings in studies done.. Even the ones that are suppose to be good I.e. stevia 'people love cus its natural' well, it's been shown to cause reproductive problems.. I'd almost rather shoot up high fructose corn syrup into my vein.. Lol.. This junk is in a lot of stuff.. Even your mouth wash.. I probably sound like a nut, but I can't help it I just read about lots o things.. And I'm nuerotic..

My mother works for a doctor who had her give me a study on aspartame. A two year study showed it is a leading cause of leukemia.
My mother won't even let me chew gum bcuz about 95% of gum consists aspartame. I would stay away from it if I was you. It is just harmful to the body and for some min boggling reason they are allowed to put it in the food we consume. The study the doctor gave me actually scared me lol.
