baby shower; 1 or 2?

I have a big family & a good amount of friends, my hubby has a HUGE family, I need opinions. Should I try to do one big baby shower? Or should I do two separate ones to make it easier on everyone?

I personally wish we were doing 2. I have a big family and so does my hubby. My sister in law wanted to pitch in and my mom wanted to throw one. So they are working on one together. But they each have their own opinion on how a baby shower should go. So I've been thrown in the middle to pick who's idea is better. Which is stressful. So I kind of wish his family threw one and my family threw one. Just so.I didn't have to be in the middle. I feel selfish saying that but I think it would have worked better. But I like that my family is getting to know his better.

All in all its your choice. With only throwing one we have like 70-80 people coming..

I'm having 2. I have a large family & lots of church friends so my mom & sis are giving me a regular shower for my family & my friends from church are doing a diaper shower the following weekend.

I tried to do one, invited everyone to one. My husband has a huge cool family, with all my friends and family, guys and girls. And my mom called my gma and aunts (were not very close and distant) and said we would meet at a restaurant and do gifts. I was actually really offended. We've been married 4 years and they still haven't met.  I think it should be a time to get everyone together to celebrate together

I would do 2 if i were you. More convenient and twice the fun!
