extreme morning sickness

I'm 11 weeks pregnant;  starting yesterday I couldn't keep anything down. The thought or the smell of food makes me vomit. This has been going on for more than 24 hours. What should I do? It's the weekend and my doctor isn't open till Monday

You have to eat snacks like once an hour. If your not eating because your scared your going to get sick, then that will make you sick when you do decide to eat. I'm serious, you need to eat something little often. Eat woman!

I agree with sandy, if you haven't been able to herero anything down for 24 hours go to the hospital. I had HG at the beginning of my pregnancy and it's terrible, but you have to stay on top of it. Go to the er, get some fluids and get some mess for the throwing up, they will do you wonders!

If it's been 24 hours or more since you were able to good any food or liquids down check your tongue in the mirror if it's not really moist at all and you don't have like the spit that stretches from your tongue (gross i know but i don't know how else to describe it! Lol) your dehydrated and you should definitely head to the hospital i have had to be hospitalized dozens of times for dehydration during both of my previous pregnancies and came pretty close on several occasions with this one dehydration is super bad during pregnancy it can cause early labor and I've heard even miscarriage so watch the clock when your start throwing up mine was so bad before i had to have ivs set up at home to give myself fluids every 8 hours so i didn't have to basically live in the hospital that's how bad it got and it lasted throughout both of my entire previous pregnancies they will take get care of you up there so I'd definitely think about going if your still not able to hold anything down a few hours from now good luck hun i know how bad this suc.ks so i hope you get some relief soon

Thanks guys! I tried ginger yesterday and well since my pregnancy started. I can't even keep water or tea down. I've been just throwing up bile. That's why I'm freaking out! But thanks again!

Iv been there it *****. What helped me was eating pasta with little to no sauce cuz its really tasteless and doesn't smell. Lemon tea is suppose to help nausea I haven't tried it though. Your doctor can prescribed phenergan or zofran they both work amazing. If you can't eat at all go to the er they'll take care of you and may be able to get a hold of your doctor.
