Holy crap! I wouldn't let my mother in the room if I ever had another baby if I were you sabrinaallen. Ouch!
Omg 22hrs!!! That's almost a whole day
I sneezed really hard and thought i peed on my X's mothers carpet. After about 5 mins of what I though was peep wwouldn't stop I was told to go to labor and delivery. After 1 hrs no contractions so they gave me petocin to start me up. Then holy cow after about 2 hrs I was ready for a catheter epidural got thatIin and finally managed to fall asleep for about 1 hr. While I was sleeping my mother leaned over the machine and managed to accidentally unplug it. So I wake up1 hr later starting to feel the pain. Then when I was hurting so bad that I ccouldn't stand it any more I called the nurse in who discovered the the machine was unplug but she couldn't turn it back on because I was ready to start pushing soon so ouch. But after 22 hrs of labor and 15 min of pushing my son was born and wouldn'tdo Iit over for the world
With my first I was 2 cm but due to low fetal movement I got induced. I went in a Tues night and started pitocin at 6 am Wed. Got the epidural at 4 cm then got my water broken and dilated quickly. After about an hour of pushing I had my baby girl that same Wed at 2:05 pm. This was 5 years ago lol. Now I'm 24 wks waiting for my second girl ;)
They are supposed to decrease pain actually and decrease tearing. I had heard they were dangerous but my ob says it's not dangerous as long as the mom has a proven pelvis like a second time mom.
I heard water births are more relaxing but painful.
Mine was good. My water broke at about 8:30-9 and contractions started 2 hours in. I then got the epidural and had him at 1:04 after pushing 30 minutes. I am going to try a water birth this time around after talking to my midewife.
